Reframing the auto company debate.
It's really not about bailing out the Big Three as much as it is about supporting the economy's manufacturing sector through this down turn.

It'll take more than a year.
Look, I'm not a fan of George Bush but I think this is basically correct. It'll take more than a year though.
And I think history may in fact end up looking very favorably upon him. But that's going to be a long time in the future.

Ron Paul speaks.
It's a little too late for this. He sounds good, but what we need is pragmatism not idealism. This goes for both the left and right.

Joe Andrew switches to Obama
Somehow I don't think two senators, one from Illinois, one from Indiana, on the same ticket sounds too geographically savvy.

Gallup Daily: Clinton 46%, Obama 45%
Sounds a little like buyer's remorse to me. I think we're lucky this year. I find all three candidates acceptable.

Too little or too much shuteye packs on pounds - Behavior- msnbc.com I think I need to get a handle on this. I only get about five hours or so of sleep a night. I usually wake up and can't fall back to sleep.

Looks like I was wrong.
When I went home to visit my folks at Christmas a few months ago I got to talking politics with my dad. He asked who I thought the presidential nominees would be. I said Clinton and Huckabee. It's starting to look like I was wrong on both counts.
My dad wouldn't predict a Democrat but he said he thought McCain would be the Republican nominee. I said no way. I never thought the Republicans would nominate McCain. I think the Republicans have acted like a "smartmob" in the sense that McCain is probably the only candidate with a realistic chance at winning.
The Democrats - and I tend to vote Democratic - are acting like a "dumbmob" in the sense that they sure seem to be trying to lose this thing.
